International Womens Day was celebrated on March 08th,2023 at Mangadu, Chennai in collaboration with Airindia Limited & TajSATS. The theme for this year is “DigitALL for Gender Equality” and our chief guests from Airindia Limited Mr.Thiyagarajan, Mr.Bashyam Satish & other personnel’s sensitized the women gathering about the importance of fighting against the digital gender gap.
Through Skits, Dance & other arts shows WEEDS volunteers created awareness by emphasizing the theme.
Our Guest of Honour Mr.Punitha Pandian (Vice-President of State SC/ST commission) presented commonwealth weightlifting champion Mrs.Amudha Suganthi Babu “Sumathi – Thenmozhi memorial Award” with a cash prize.
Womens Education and Economic Development Society (WEEDS) Board Members Mrs.Helan Joyes, Mrs.Pushpa, Mrs.Arulmozhi, Mrs.Anandhalkshmi, Mrs.Sathiya organized the program.
